This is my first braided loaf, and it was lots of fun. Used 4 ropes instead of 3 and it’s so much prettier. I brought it over to Sean’s aunt’s birthday party and it was a very successful loaf. She gave me her recipe for a flax seed and oats challah that sounded really tasty. I think I will braid my next brioche loaf as well. Lesson learned: Make sure you egg wash the entire thing thoroughly, or else you get dry spots that aren’t very pretty!
